that which sustains us....
life.
and then... death.
and then life again, and then death...
it's a cycle.
and it is simple.
we are all connected...
to every living thing that sustains us...
we are part of her and him, and he and she are part of me...
and it is beautiful, how connected we all are... in true spirit...
one and with the earth.
sometimes i think you can really feel it...
feel the energy.
i do...
and so i am thankful for all that i have...
i am so thankful for what i have been given...
i know it's full on...
but its all true...

transitions....
that in between...
in between what?
between the black and white... of the yin yang...
that in between of life, and death...
of this and that...
of what is now, and what is to come...
of what is, and what was...
it was all once a transiton... from this to that, then to now, now to then...
why does it feel complicated sometimes, overwhelming...
these transitions....
what am i transitioning from, and what am i transitioning to?
i don't know...
and thats the annoying but totally realisitc thing about 'transitions'... do you ever really know how its all gonna turn out? all of it?
are you ever relaly gonna know how life is gonna turn out?
how life is gonna turn out?
what am i transitioning from, and what to?
we make these plans, we have these visions, we need to have them, or else we are scared, or else we don't know what we are doing, where we are heading....
but really, i feel the best when im just BEING... when i dont need to know where im heading, when im just experiencing, when im not thinking, when im not doing... im just being....
i guess that's part of the transition... that space when you are just being...
i sometimes wonder about the mama earth too.. what kinda transition is she gong through... these past few days, in canada we got a huge cold flurry snowfall... and across the world, in chile intense earthquakes, just shakin... again she was.... repeating herslef from the very recent haitian earhtquakes... she had to shake again... and more powerfully this time.... and then shortly after, she send a tsunami along in europe... washing away the earth, over france and spain... and a landslide in Uganda, with downpours drawing all that surfaces the earth back to her flow... of life, and death....
what was happening.... what is she transitioning through? what kind of transition are we going through? Are we moving to better, or worse? are we learning from what we are doing? doing to the earth... are we paying attention?
we think we are... but are we REALLY?
what is happening RIGHT NOW?
in this transition...
during, in the middle... presently... consciously...
on all levels, scales... we are transitioning...
we always are...
we are always in between...
in all balance, we are in between...
in between what?
between the black and white... of the yin yang...
that in between of life, and death...
of this and that...
of what is now, and what is to come...

on the concept of 'thin'
what's wrong in this world.... when we have people starving themselves, or mentally struggling with the thought of eating, because they want to be thin.... and yet we also have people who are so thin.... with no access to food.... with no access to water, to those basic necessities to sustain the life that we all biologically live through...
how can it be that people in the western world, the world where we have so much that we do not know how to deal with the excess.... we get so overwhelmed... its too much stimuli, too much food, too many ideals, too many beliefs and messages and expectations and standards and ever-changing ever-expanding demands... that we must fulfill...
yet there are others... who exist within the natural confines that the environment places upon them... that live working just getting by.... no excess time to think, to analyze, to delve into whatever psychological fixation has captured them... body image, success, relationship drama, fashion, money, debt, schedule, events... let alone more stressing issues such as supporting your children, having a clean stable home in which to raise them in... with food in their bellies...
yet there are those who do not want to eat, do not want to put food in their bellies, for fear of being fat, they want to be thin... wait a second, isn't food there to sustain us... to carry on the cycle of life?
it is this thinness, those lovely natural diuretics we call diarrhea, dysentry... that KILLS human beings, children, in lands where they don't have that choice to not eat, don't have that privelage to starve themselves, or to binge on a large quantity of highly nutritious food, and then purge it right back out, and then do it again...
there are people dying to eat... yet there are people choosing to starve... and yet, they do so, because of the ideals they see and hear and feed off of and have their ENTIRE lives... and our society supports and perpetuates all of this... we do it to eachother...
i do not get it, and i do not support it... and i am sad to see so many (mostly) women harming themselves, because these ideals that move them in that direction are warped, and do not have their best interest at hand... and that i do not understand too.
i care about my fellow human beings... and we need to support eachothers sustainability... support eachothers lives...
put it into context...
lets balance out the scales...

value of life...
i am a person living on 'the system'...
i am on social assistance... i cannot afford to buy myself lots of new clothes and the newest cell phone or go out for dinner....
but i can cook, and i can reuse old clothes and i can have face to face conversations that are real and genuine and with good intention....
i spend my time volunteering, learning to dance in exchange for work....
supporting my fellow human beings in their rallies and marches and discussions over issues of the environment, our fellow human beings... our earth, our rights and respects...
and our equality, our ONE-ness...
standing up for what i believe in, what i know is right...
this feels right for me...
it just so happens to not be too focused on money.
i call this the value of life...
because how DO we value our life?
and how do we value our death?

be the connection....
you know that connection...
that direct contact...
when you're plugged in!...
when you're plugged into EVERYTHING...
in life...
the most beautiful basics...
that which all is made from...
that keep us alive...
be it...
be it, like feel it.
feel it... in and on all levels....
because you are it...
breathe with it, into it, supporting it...
letting it touch your body....
try to feel it, taste it.... smell it....
see it...
sometimes its hard to do all.... but its possible...
you just be it...
and you are it.
and it feels really good...
i am thankful... for all that i am blessed with in my life...
i am humbled, and blessed,
and i recognize this.
Love sunni

The Root.
this is where it grows.
this is what steadies that which grows out of it.
this is the central dense core of life.
there is a root to, and in everything you can possibly think of.
or many roots...
But the root is the basic,
simple part of the whole.
I want to deal with the root.
Always.
The root is equivalent to the essence.
The essence is the root of all things, ideas, realities.
We are alive because of these realities, these essences. These roots.
These roots grow into plants, into greenery, that gives us food to eat. That give us oxygen to breathe. That sustains our physical beings.
In order to understand all in life,
we must always go to the root.
To the origins, to the central issue.
We must trace back through history,
through the process that something has grown up from the roots...
from the basics.
If we stay rooted, stay grounded, stay centred...
the roots stability will support us.
And the roots will sustain us.
The roots are connected, are based in the earth.
So are WE. So is everyone, everything in the earth.
Let the roots remind us of our connection, of our essence, of our stability... of all that we are, of all that is.
The root is real. It is the truth.
this is what steadies that which grows out of it.

Nurturing your Environment
The ideal, is to create an environment that evokes and draws out the life that you are presently leading, allowing the past, the future, and the present to come together so you can BE... as you wish.
Thus, what images and visuals that surround you, ideally should bring about simplicity, and also powerful and strong positivity, depending on what your intentions are in life. Instead of acquiring new, updated images, photographs, instead release old images, and simplify your environment. Let your eyes see ideas you want to see, so as to implant the meanings behind the image into your conscious being. Let go of the emotional connections to images.
Let the objects in your environment comfort you. Make you feel the positive aspects of a traditional concept of home, comfy, warm, peaceful, relaxed, life together with family and friends, in your habitat. Yet be aware, the attachments to the objects we hold onto, we also have an attachment to. We live with abundance and excess. Release, surrender, and let go of objects you have acquired that is part of your excess. These objects fill in, and perhaps even overflow your environment, clog it, limit the amount of space you have to grow... give yourself some room to grow, and let go of those things that have become weight on your being. Learn to enjoy your life, and your environment, with less, more simply.
Can you fulfill all of your desires in your home? And can you release the negatives, healthily? What are your passions, and what are the fixes that bring you to 'yucky' mental places? Let your environment nurture both, support them.
You are living in this environment, thus let it nurture that life. Bring in plants; sprout and grow life, as you sprout and grow in your own. Let the life that truly keeps you alive be intimately part of your process- in your environment.
And how do you maintain it? Do you keep it clean and organized? To cleanse is to nurture; and to keep our living environment clean and organized is to nurture the facilitation to exist, perhaps to grow... definitely to live. To clean is to release, let go of the past, let go of the remains of the past- goods, bad’s, everything’s. This gives room to flow in the present, with a clear path.
What do you do to nurture the sound, your aural experience of your environment? Do you like the silence? (i hope you can experience silence in your environment? It is nice to receive a break from aural stimulation, to experience a sound without send. It is also lovely to experience sound... Let the silence and sound enter your body, enter your mind, enter your spirit. Let the music or sound you invite into your environment be reflective or nurturing of your general life intentions.
The words and sounds and images, scents and objects and all forms of nourishment that you absorb, become mirrored in your being, and you can choose, what life you absorb, and reflect, in nurturing your environment.

body, mind, spirit....
body, mind, spirit are one...
sometimes you feel it,
and it feels really good, right down to your core... it feels good...
to be conscious of that connection, be lost in it...
it feels good...
good to remind the entire being of it's connectedness... to itself, and to the entire one...
my body,
and my mind,
and my spirit...
i am thankful...
sometimes you feel it,
