value of life...

i am a person living on 'the system'...

i am on social assistance... i cannot afford to buy myself lots of new clothes and the newest cell phone or go out for dinner....

but i can cook, and i can reuse old clothes and i can have face to face conversations that are real and genuine and with good intention....

i spend my time volunteering, learning to dance in exchange for work....

supporting my fellow human beings in their rallies and marches and discussions over issues of the environment, our fellow human beings... our earth, our rights and respects...

and our equality, our ONE-ness...

standing up for what i believe in, what i know is right...

this feels right for me...

it just so happens to not be too focused on money.

i call this the value of life...

because how DO we value our life?

and how do we value our death?
